The drop down menu offers the history of the Rase area at ‘war’
There is the stories of the two World Wars, the first in 1914-18 which was deemed to be the war to end all wars. This turned out to be completely wrong as twenty one years later the second World War and Germany, once again, declared war on all its neighbours.
Also the conflict created by the enclosures, major changes in land ownership and rights that took place in the Rase district in the later eighteenth and early nineteenth century.
Even further back in Tudor times when Hambleton Hill on the Tealby Road in Market Rasen became a key area in a major conflict.
