Dr Frederick William SHEGOG

He was born in Dublin on 18 th December 1897, his father died when he was two. His mother remarried and in 1911, he is living with her and step-father in Dublin.

1916 he is registered as a student in Dublin, Frederick qualified as a Doctor in 1920.

1927, Frederick married Madge Jaquest in Luton, they moved to Market Rasen.

Dr Shegog joins Dr Dudley Torrens ( another Irishman) in partnership.

1929, Frederick and Madge have a daughter LLeene.

1937 Kelly’s directory listed Torrens and Shegog at 34 King Street.

1939-1942, the Shegog family are living at Kingland House, King Street.

He was still in practice in the 1960s.

1962 December- Market Rasen Mail reported on the house fire at the home of Dr and Mrs Shegog of Morley Park.

Dr Shegog died on 10 th May 1981, Madge died in 1995 in Stamford age 94 yrs.
